BACnet® Secure Connect (BACnet/SC) enhances the WebCTRL® Building Automation System by adding encrypted, authenticated communications that protect building automation networks from modern cyber threats—without sacrificing performance or usability.
BACnet® Secure Connect operates using the BACnet Secure Connect (BACnet/SC) protocol, which is defined as an official addendum to the BACnet standard.
The system secures all communications using Transport Layer Security (TLS) encryption, ensuring that data exchanged between BACnet devices is protected against unauthorized access.
All BACnet devices must complete device‑level authentication before joining the BACnet Secure Connect network, ensuring that only trusted devices are permitted to communicate.
BACnet Secure Connect uses a hub‑and‑spoke architecture, providing a centralized and secure communication model for building automation networks.
