Vitobloc 200

Combined heat and power plant for natural gas and liquefied petroleum gas operation

  • Electrical power: 8.5 kW
  • Thermal power: 20.1 kW
  • Smooth-running 3-cylinder gas engine
  • Cost-effective power and heat generation

Vitobloc 200

The Vitobloc 200 Type EM‑9/20 is a compact combined heat and power (CHP) unit designed for cost‑effective on‑site generation of electricity and heat. It is ideal for small commercial buildings, apartment blocks, leisure facilities, and energy‑efficient residential projects with continuous heat demand.

By generating electricity and heat simultaneously, the Vitobloc 200 significantly improves overall energy utilisation, reduces operating costs, and lowers CO₂ emissions compared to separate heat and power generation.

Vitobloc 200

Thermal Output

Provides 20.1 kW of thermal energy, suitable for space heating, domestic hot water, or buffer charging.

Why is a small CHP unit like the EM‑9/20 economically attractive?

Because it produces electricity and heat at the same time, achieving much higher overall efficiency than separate systems and lowering energy costs.

What type of heat demand is ideal for CHP operation?

CHP units perform best where there is continuous or long daily heat demand, such as domestic hot water preparation or base‑load heating.

What does “factory tested” mean for commissioning?

Each unit is tested under operating conditions at the factory, reducing commissioning time and ensuring reliable start‑up on site.

How does CHP reduce electricity costs?

Electricity generated on site is used directly, reducing:

Electricity purchases from the grid
Grid fees and taxes (subject to local regulations)
