Centralized, secure user authentication aligned with enterprise IT standards
The i‑Vu® LDAP / Active Directory Add‑On integrates building automation user access with existing IT security infrastructure—simplifying administration, improving security, and ensuring consistent credential management across the organization.
The ADD‑LDAP add‑on enables the i‑Vu® Building Automation System to authenticate users through LDAP or Microsoft Active Directory. Instead of managing separate usernames and passwords within the BAS, organizations can leverage their existing network directory services to control user access.
The add‑on uses each operator’s i‑Vu username to locate the corresponding directory entry, applies configured search bases and filters, and validates credentials securely. This approach reduces administrative overhead while maintaining flexibility through optional mixed‑mode operation, allowing selected local users to remain managed directly within i‑Vu.
Operates as a licensed add‑on within the i‑Vu Building Automation System.
Uses configured LDAP search bases and filters to validate user credentials securely.
Designed to align with common enterprise IT and cybersecurity requirements.
Suitable for organizations managing multiple buildings under a unified directory structure.
