The sensor is designed to sense temperature in harsh environments and locations unsuitable for standard room sensors.

The device supports temperature monitoring in hard‑to‑reach areas, retrofit scenarios, and applications requiring integration of a standard thermistor into the Rnet network.

The housing is constructed from polycarbonate (UL94V‑0) and rated NEMA 4 / IP66, with UV resistance for outdoor use.

Supports a 10K Type 2 thermistor (purchased separately) using 22 AWG twisted‑pair cable, with a maximum sensor distance of 50 ft.

Power is supplied via the 4‑conductor Rnet cable from the controller (+12 VDC @ 210 mA).
An external power supply may be used if additional power is required, and both supplies must share a common ground.
