MQTT Connector

Secure, semantic‑rich data streaming from WebCTRL® to cloud and enterprise platforms
The MQTT Connector enables WebCTRL® to securely publish building automation data to MQTT brokers and cloud platforms, supporting modern data analytics, visualization, and enterprise integration while preserving rich semantic context.

MQTT Connector

Automated Logic’s MQTT connector add-on makes it fast and easy to publish data from the WebCTRL® building automation system (BAS) to an MQTT broker—a standard component in cloud environments. Using the MQTT standard lightweight messaging protocol for IoT, data is streamed from the BAS and automatically formatted according to the Sparkplug B specification. The BAS data is enriched with deep context, including semantic tags, so that it can be used by other enterprise-level applications to inform business decisions.

MQTT Connector

Easy Deployment & Broad Compatibility

Designed for easy deployment and compatible with all major MQTT brokers and most cloud infrastructure (IaaS) providers.

Simple Configuration Interface

Uses an intuitive configuration tool that allows users to select which points to publish, leveraging WebCTRL®’s built‑in semantic tagging engine.

Rich Semantic Context with Project Haystack

Published BAS data includes Project Haystack semantic tags, providing context such as location, units of measure, equipment type, control program designation, and point characteristics.

Improved Data Visibility

Enables BAS data to be shared with non‑facilities users such as executives, tenants, and employees, improving organizational visibility.

WebCTRL® Compatibility

Requires WebCTRL® v8 Advantage or Premium with cumulative patch 5 (20221114‑0) or later
WebCTRL® Standard is supported when integrating with Carrier Abound™
Note: A license is not required for Abound™ integration
