Secure, future‑ready BACnet routing with native BACnet Secure Connect support
The i‑Vu® XT Router (XT‑RB) enables encrypted, standards‑compliant BACnet Secure Connect (BACnet/SC) communication while supporting concurrent legacy BACnet networks—providing a secure, flexible path for modernizing building automation infrastructures.
Network & Integration Device
The i-Vu® XT Router routes BACnet messages between the i-Vu building automation system backbone (BACnet/IP), and a subnetwork of i-Vu controllers (BACnet MS/TP). It connects directly to the Ethernet LAN and provides the i-Vu web server with access to the entire i-Vu system.
The i-Vu XT Router also extends an i-Vu system, allowing individual BACnet MS/TP networks (with up to 60 controllers each) to be connected together via the i-Vu building automation system backbone.
BACnet Router (B‑RTR) and BACnet BBMD (B‑BBMD)
Tested to BACnet Protocol Revision 19 (135‑2016); BTL listed
Gigabit Ethernet for BACnet/SC, BACnet/IP, and BACnet/Ethernet
Two EIA‑485 ports for BACnet MS/TP (9.6–115.2 kbps)
Password‑protected 10/100 Ethernet service port
IPv4 (DHCP/static) and IPv6 (static/SLAAC)
BACnet/SC and IPv6 support require driver version gen5_106‑01‑2380 or later
24 VAC ±10% (50 VA) or 26 VDC ±10% (15 W), Class 2
XT‑RB natively supports BACnet Secure Connect (BACnet/SC) while also routing legacy BACnet networks, enabling secure modernization without disruption.
Yes. BACnet/SC provides encrypted, certificate‑based communication for enhanced cybersecurity.
Yes. Hybrid network support allows facilities to migrate to BACnet/SC gradually.
Facilities that need:
Secure BACnet/SC communication
Coexistence of legacy and modern BACnet networks
IPv4/IPv6 readiness
Scalable MS/TP integration
Seamless i‑Vu system compatibility
